Cartuxa, the premium brand from the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, has been selected a Superbrand 2015 for the fourth consecutive year. This award reinforces Cartuxa status as a leading Portuguese brand for both wine and olive oil.

The Superbrand seal is awarded to outstanding brands from various areas of business, voted for by one thousand consumers and the Superbrands panel of public relations and marketing managers dealing with key brands, institutions affiliated to the wine business, and media representatives.

The Superbrands panel ranks the brands according to market dominance, longevity, goodwill, credibility and acceptability, whereas the consumers’ opinion poll reflects the visibility and acknowledgement of the brands, as well as aspirational values that match consumer needs in terms of disposable income.

Superbrands is an international and independent organization devoted to the promotion of brand excellence in 89 countries. In Portugal 30 brands are now selected in a wide variety of business sectors.

According to José Ginó, the Commercial Director of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, “this award, which we share with the whole team at Cartuxa, makes us proud of what we do, shows how consistent we are in brand building, and is recognition of our indomitable pursuit of excellence”. 

The 2015 awards ceremony took place on November  30th at the Pestana Palace Hotel  in Lisbon, an event which, for the first time, selected  Superbrands Born in Portugal; brands like Cartuxa that are genuinely Portuguese.
